LaPromesse Annual Luncheon

New this year at the LaPromesse luncheon on September 17, at Giovanni's Restaurant in Rockford, was a ‘basket raffle’ of 11 different, grouped prizes such as ‘Never Cook Again’ with restaurant gift certificates, monthly pies for a year, housecleaning services and the like.

The annual event raises funds for the many service projects done by Catholic Women’s League each year. In his blessing, Bishop David Malloy called it “impressive” to see such a “sea of faces” and experience such enthusiasm, adding that “being there … supporting each other … is so much a part of the faith.”
