Pope Francis’ Encyclical Reminds Us to Take Good Care of Our Common Home
Pope Francis issued his encyclical “Laudato Si’ on Care for Our Common Home” June 18. Opening with praise from St. Francis of Assisi, thanking God for “our Sister, Mother Earth,” the pope writes, “This sister now cries out to us because of the harm we have inflicted on her by our irresponsible use and abuse of the goods with which God has endowed her.”
