In response to a special request from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Bishop David Malloy is asking the people of the Rockford Diocese to join in a special collection this weekend, Jan. 9-10. The collection will help all those impacted by severe weather and historic flooding throughout the South and Midwestern regions of our country. This special, one-time collection will be taken up at all Masses this weekend in all parishes of the diocese and will be sent to Catholic Charities USA for both immediate and long term needs of those affected by the storms, especially the poor.
