Fundraising for Children, Who are ‘Precious As Pearls’

The 30th annual Caritas luncheon was held on April 27 at Giovanni’s restaurant in Rockford. It welcomes a record crowd of some 380 people who enjoyed lunch, a silent auction, music by Carl and Diana Cole and a fashion show with clothing by Chico’s. The event is sponsored by the Catholic Charities Auxiliary, and all funds raised support children’s programs and activities at St. Elizabeth Catholic Community Center.
