March for Life Send-Off Mass

Students from St. Rita School and Boylan Central Catholic High School attended a March for Life Send-Off Mass in Boylan's chapel the afternoon of Jan. 25 before heading to Washington D.C. A second send-off Mass, also celebrated by Bishop David Malloy and a handful of priests from the diocese, was held at St. John Neumann Parish in St. Charles that evening (pictured).

Those attending the evening Mass filled two buses for a trip to the March organized by the diocesen Life and Family Evangelization Office. They came from parishes and school in Richmond, Crystal Lake, Aurora, Dixon, Sterling, DeKalb and McHenry. The bishop will join the marches in Washington D.C. for the vigil Mass on Jan. 26 and at the march itself on Jan. 27.
