‘Boy Bishop’ Tradition Brought to Geneva
The medieval tradition of a Boy Bishop was begun at St. Peter Church in Geneva on the Feast of the Chair of St. Peter this year. Its purposes include reminding people that the Church is apostolic, encouraging them to pray for the diocesan bishop, and to show that bishops and priests come from parish families. As seen here, kids from the parish were inspired by a “bishop” just their size!
